The Process
We fly from the airport with conventional jet engines, ascend to 35,000 feet, and switch to our highly safe reusable rocket engines. The rockets take us up to 85 km altitude, and we have 3 minutes of weightlessness as we glide in space. Then we descend, gently re-enter the atmosphere, restart our jet engines and fly back to the airport.


Designed for Safety
Proven Technology
Our vehicle is a Learjet with modified wings. Learjets have over 50 years of reliable, safe service. Our rocket engines are from Exos, with over 1,000 firings without failures. Our rockets are designed to shutdown safely should any anomaly occur. This is the safest ride to space.
Most Comfortable
Passengers board the airplane for the flight without loading the rocketplane onto a carrier aircraft. Just get on board, fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride. The luxury pressurized interior is designed by Frank Nuovo and will provide a perfect viewing experience.
Redundant Architecture
Having both jet engines and multiple rocket engines in one vehicle allows the XP to fly with jets or rockets. After returning from space, it will restart the jets and fly to the airport. Throughout the vehicle, key systems are dual redundant to ensure a safe flight.
Proven Design, Ready to Build
We have built a prototype model to demonstrate that the design is valid and handles well in flight. With funding, we could be flying passengers in a few years.
